Taysir

Taysir is derived from the Arabic root y-s-r, one of the most frequently occurring roots in the Quran and classical Arabic literature, consistently associated with ease, smoothness, simplicity, and the removal of obstacles. The morphological form taysir is a verbal noun of the second form of the verb, meaning the active act or process of making something easy. The Quran references this root in numerous memorable passages, including Surah Al-Qamar (54:17): 'And We have made the Quran easy to remember,' and in Surah Al-Baqarah's permission of iftar for travellers and the sick. The Prophet Muhammad is also recorded in hadith literature as advising 'Facilitate, do not make difficult' (yassiru wa la tu'assiru), a principle embedded in Islamic jurisprudence.
