Delete Your Data

Namekin is built around a privacy-first model: almost everything stays on your device. You can remove your data at any time by following the steps below. No account, email, or support request is required.
Step 1: Clear all local data
To delete every piece of Namekin data stored on your device, open the app and tap:
Settings › Reset all data
This permanently deletes:
- Your swipes, likes, and dislikes
- Your favourites and custom lists
- Your search history and filters
- Your onboarding answers and in-app preferences
- Your tournament and poll history
- Any cached name data on the device
This action is immediate and cannot be undone. The app will return to its initial state.
Step 2: Remove partner-sync data from our servers
If you have connected with a partner, some end-to-end encrypted data is temporarily relayed through our servers. To delete it, open the app and tap:
Settings › Partner Sync › Unlink partner
Unlinking permanently deletes from our servers:
- The anonymous device identifier created for your session
- Your encrypted shared swipes and matches
- Any pending sync payloads awaiting delivery
- The partner pairing record itself
We cannot read any of this data at any point. It is end-to-end encrypted with keys that only you and your partner hold. Unlinking destroys the server-side copy immediately.
Step 3: Uninstall the app (optional, full wipe)
Uninstalling Namekin removes the app and everything it stores on your device. Combined with Step 2 above, this leaves no Namekin data anywhere.
- iOS:Long-press the Namekin icon › Remove App › Delete App.
- Android:Long-press the Namekin icon › Uninstall (or Settings › Apps › Namekin › Uninstall).
If you only uninstall without first unlinking your partner, the encrypted server-side pairing record remains until your partner also unlinks or until it expires naturally.
What we do not hold
We never collect or store the following, so there is nothing to delete:
- Account credentials (there is no account system)
- Email addresses or phone numbers
- Names, dates of birth, or location data
- Analytics or behavioural profiles
- Contact lists or device identifiers beyond the random pairing ID

If you cannot access the app (for example, a device has been lost) and need partner-sync data removed, contact us at namekin@identityagency.co.uk. Include the device pairing code if you still have it. We aim to respond within 7 days.
