Bhavika

Bhavika is formed from the Sanskrit root 'bhava' combined with the adjectival suffix 'ika,' producing the meaning 'relating to or characterised by bhava.' The root 'bhava' is itself one of the most multidimensional words in the entire Sanskrit philosophical vocabulary. At the most basic level it means existence or being, derived from the verb 'bhav' meaning to become or to be, which is cognate with the Latin 'fui' (I was) and ultimately shares a root with the English verb 'to be.' In Hindu philosophical discourse, 'bhava' is used to describe states of consciousness, spiritual moods, and the felt quality of existence. In the devotional tradition of Bhakti, 'bhava' specifically refers to the deep emotional states of love for the divine, such as the mood of a friend, a servant, a parent, or a lover towards God.
