Gatimu

Gatimu comes from the Kikuyu language of Kenya, spoken by the Kikuyu people of the central highlands around Mount Kenya. It is a Bantu language in the Niger-Congo family, closely related to Embu and Meru. The name derives from roots conveying sternness, determination, or an unyielding quality of character. In Kikuyu naming tradition, masculine names frequently draw on virtues associated with strength, endurance, and leadership, and Gatimu fits squarely within this pattern.
