Ishaan

Ishaan derives from the Sanskrit 'Ishana,' meaning 'the sun,' 'lord,' or 'ruler.' It is one of the many names attributed to Lord Shiva in Hindu tradition, specifically connected to his aspect as the guardian of the northeast direction. In Vastu Shastra, the ancient Indian science of architecture, the northeast corner (Ishanya) is considered the most sacred, as it is where the first rays of the sun enter a dwelling. This directional association gives the name a spatial and spiritual dimension beyond its literal meaning. The root 'Ish' in Sanskrit means 'lord' or 'master,' connecting Ishaan to concepts of sovereignty and divine authority.
