The second appearance is in Nehemiah 11:7, where Itiel is named as an ancestor of a Benjaminite who settled in Jerusalem following the return from Babylonian exile, placing the name in the context of post-exilic Jewish restoration. In Jewish textual tradition, the name's appearance in Proverbs has attracted particular attention given that chapter's unusual and somewhat enigmatic character.
