Wenyu

Wenyu is formed from Wen (文), the character representing culture, literature, and civil virtue, and Yu, which can take two very different forms. As 宇, Yu means the universe, the cosmos, or all of space and time, a character found in the modern Chinese word for universe (宇宙, yuzhou). This reading gives the name a grand, open quality, suggesting cultural influence as wide as the sky. As 玉, Yu means jade, the most prized stone in Chinese civilisation, associated with moral purity, beauty, and aristocratic refinement for at least seven thousand years.
